EMC TEST SERVICE

Our electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) laboratory, equipped with an ETS-Lindgren FACT 3-1.2 certified semi-anechoic chamber, performs pre-compliance EMC testing on products.

Our EMC experts manage and compile a final report of the entire compliance process of hardware and software devices. Constantly up-to-date setups with reference to the latest European regulations ensure accurate and complete compliance assessment.

Technical specifications of the semi-anechoic chamber (SAC)

The semi-anechoic chamber (SAC) is designed to perform EMC tests on large devices, with test objects up to 3 m x 3 m. The SAC is accessed via a 1.2 x 2.1 m door, equipped with a platform to facilitate entry of heavy systems. Inside, there is a rotating platform with a diameter of 1.2 m and a load capacity of 300 kg, which allows 360° assessments of emissions and immunity of devices.

Radiated emission measurements are made at a distance of 3 meters, with NSA (30 MHz-1 GHz) and SVSWR (1-18 GHz) certified tests, covering radiated emissions from 30 MHz to 40 GHz and radiated immunity from 26 MHz to 40 GHz. The SAC is equipped with a CCTV system to monitor the EUT during testing, ensuring operator safety, especially in radiated immunity tests where high levels of electromagnetic field are generated.

Finally, SAC has two interface panels to connect the EUT to auxiliary equipment and two filters for single-phase AC power. Each connection is designed to reach both the rotating platform, hence the dedicated test area, and all the instrumentation used to perform the tests, such as antennas, antenna tower, and the CCTV system, enabling effective test execution.
