Semar wins ABB's "Smart Power Supplier Sustainability" Award
We are proud to announce that SEMAR S.r.l. has received the 2025 “Smart Power Supplier Sustainability” award, in the “Carbon Decoupling Leader” category, for the ABB Smart Power division.
This is a highly prestigious award, given to suppliers who stand out for their commitment to environmental sustainability and reducing climate impact.
The award was based on several evaluation criteria, including: the EcoVadis score, one of the main international standards that measures companies' ESG performance; actions taken to continuously improve sustainability processes; the level of management and reduction of CO₂ emissions; the results obtained in the last three years in terms of production performance.

Semar Group at Hannover Messe
From April 20 to 24, Semar Group participated in Hannover Messe, one of the leading international trade fairs dedicated to industrial and technological innovation. We were located in Hall 12, a hub for solutions focused on the energy sector and industrial infrastructure. During the event, we presented the value of our offerings, designed to meet the needs of a constantly evolving market where efficiency, reliability, and innovation are strategic factors, as well as listening to the needs of potential global partners. Participating in Hannover Messe was an important opportunity to engage with industry professionals, customers, and possible international partners, confirming the Group’s role as a reliable player in the energy transition.

Semar Group debuts at the Dtech trade fair
Si è conclusa con successo la prima partecipazione del Gruppo Semar alla fiera Dtech, l’evento internazionale dedicato alla distribuzione dell’energia. Presso il San Diego Convention Center, abbiamo presentato le nostre ultime novità nel settore della bassa potenza, media tensione e soluzioni IoT. Dtech è stata un’importante occasione di aggiornamento tecnologico e di networking: il confronto con operatori globali ha aperto le porte a nuove partnership strategiche. Design, Sustainability and Innovation: Semar at the 10th Edition of IDI
From November 19 to 23, Semar participated in the 10th edition of Italian Design Icons in Shanghai, a prestigious event celebrating the Italian excellence in China. Hosted in the “800SHOW” creative park in the Jing’an district, the exhibition brought together some of Italy’s most emblematic brands and artists, offering the Chinese public a unique perspective on what has made Italian design a global benchmark. This year’s theme, Design for a Better Life, highlighted how innovation, sustainability and technological progress can enhance everyday living.

New plant in the United States
The strong desire for growth and the ability to anticipate the needs of a constantly evolving global market led the Group to take a further strategic step a few months ago, namely the establishment of a company in the United States: Semar Trading USA LLC. This new logistics unit, based in Dayton, Ohio, will be dedicated to the storage and rapid delivery of products and represents a key moment in the Group's expansion into the American market. Moreover, the opening of a production plant in the US is currently being evaluated, and its development will be determined based on the evolution of the international political context.

Semar Electric is expanding: new site of 8,200 m²
Semar Electric is moving into a new 8,200 m² facility, more than double its current space: a strategic change that will allow the company to double its production of medium-voltage instrument transformers, significantly improving operational efficiency. But the optimisation process doesn't stop there: the new plant will be powered by heat pumps and will have a 1 MW photovoltaic system that will cover 70% of energy needs. In addition, the company will invest in new machinery and cutting-edge technologies with the aim of making processes more precise, sustainable and with zero waste.

Middle East Energy 2025: new opportunities for Semar Group
From 7 to 9 April, Semar Group participated in the Middle East Energy exhibition in Dubai, one of the most important global events in the energy sector. In the Transmission and Distribution pavilion, we presented solutions designed for the market needs, highlighting our engineering know-how, design flexibility and ability to develop reliable and cutting-edge technologies. Our participation has confirmed Semar Group as a key partner at global level, capable of offering added value at every stage of the project, from the design to the implementation. Automotive Table: challenges and opportunities at the heart of the Confindustria Ancona event
The European automotive sector is facing a moment of great uncertainty, but also significant transformation. This was the focus of the event “Automotive: what future?”, organized by Confindustria Ancona last December 5 at Semar in Castelfidardo.
The meeting brought together leading players in the sector, such as Ducati of the Audi Group and the ANFIA association, to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the OEM supply chain.
Un dato emerso con rilevanza durante l’evento è il ruolo cruciale del tessuto manifatturiero delle Marche, composto da PMI agili e pronte a rispondere alle nuove sfide tecnologiche del settore. Il Tavolo Automotive, nato per promuovere la collaborazione e il networking tra le imprese, si è confermato un elemento chiave nel rafforzare l’identità e la competitività del territorio. Grazie a un approccio sinergico, le aziende locali lavorano insieme per valorizzare l’eccellenza manifatturiera e l’innovazione tecnologica che caratterizzano la regione. Questo cluster non solo rappresenta il motore per ampliare la ricerca e l’analisi delle aziende della filiera ma è anche una risorsa strategica per affrontare le sfide del mercato nazionale e internazionale.

SustainChain Semar 2024
Semar participated in the SustainChain Day event organised by ABB Smart Power Division at its Frosinone headquarters on Thursday, 23 May 2024. The event was aimed at introducing stakeholders to ABB's pilot project for improving the sustainability performance of the supply chain.
The event was held in the auditorium of the Academy Center, where ABB experts presented their strategies and best practices on supply chain sustainability. Semar, along with two other companies, had the opportunity to make a short speech and present to the audience its engagement in decarbonisation and its goals for the future.
Semar would like to thank ABB for the invitation to the event and the opportunity to present its commitment to environmental protection.

Semar a Colitech Deutschland
On 20 and 21 March 2024, Semar Group participated in the third edition of Coiltech Deutschland, one of the most important trade fairs for the coil and winding industry. For over 50 years, Semar has been manufacturing transformers and power supply modules and, on the occasion of the exhibition, the company aimed to show visitors not only its long-standing experience in the industry, but also its farsightedness. During these two short but intense days, Semar had the opportunity to get to know many different realities and exchange views. For this reason, we would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth, and we hope to have shared our passion and professionalism that we put into our work every day. We look forward to facing new challenges with you!

Semar is sponsor of the UNIVPM Polimarche Racing Team
The Polimarche Racing Team is the Università Politecnica delle Marche's team that competes in the international Formula SAE championship, organised by the Society of Automotive Engineers and reserved for university students. The competition involves the design and construction of a racing car that will then be evaluated both through static and dynamic tests and in terms of its design, cost, performance and engineering efficiency.
The Polimarche Racing team is formed by 70 students and this summer the Polimarche team took part in two competitions, in Italy and Croatia, with static tests.
At Semar, we strongly believe in the potential of young students who are eager to learn and in the fundamental role that the university plays in their education. For this reason, the company has decided to take part in this project as a sponsor. Semar's contribution is not only aimed at financing the project, but above all at sending a clear message: in a society where young people have less and less confidence in their future employment due to the lack of job opportunities, we at Semar want to encourage them by offering them the opportunity to participate in projects where academic theory meets practice, and thus take a step towards the world of work.

Fifty years of Semar
On 16 June 2023, Semar celebrated its 50th anniversary with a big party attended by more than two hundred people.
Not only were all the employees, who make the company increasingly competitive through their work every day, but there were also former employees, customers, suppliers and authorities.
Among the guests there were the deputy mayor of Castelfidardo, Confindustria Ancona and Savona, representatives of the Regional Council, the priest of Sant'Agostino and, finally, the delegations of workers representing Semar's factories in China, Tunisia and Savona.
L’evento si è articolato in due momenti. Il primo appuntamento è stato in azienda in cui gli invitati hanno potuto ricevere la benedizione e visitare il reparto produttivo. Il secondo è stato presso Villa Centofinestre di Filottrano, dove si è svolta la cena e l’intervento dell’ospite Terenzio Traisci, psicologo del lavoro ed esperto di gestione dell’umore e dello stress.
Semar would like to thank all those who participated in the event, but above all, those who have been protagonists of the company's history in these 'first' fifty years.
